FAIRCHILD WHEELER

Fairchild Wheeler Interdistrict Multi-Magnet High School

What we did

While at JCJ Architecture, I worked with key stakeholders to develop the education brief for this multi—magnet high school.

The goal was to create a building for three different schools that would house 1500 students. The focus of the schools were technology, aerospace and zoology.

Outcomes

The educational brief was an outgrowth of the content analysis from the focus group / workshops with the key stakeholders.  From the brief a building evolved which offered teachers and students a variety of learning areas that support the various disciplines and diverse ways in which people acquire knowledge. The building was completed in 2014.  In 2016, JCJ Architecture received the McConnell Award for planning for this unique project.
